Description
I created this set of activities during digital learning days. Students begin developing an understanding of our exploration of space by interviewing someone they know. Then, they take the information from the interview and use that as a jumping off point to focus a visit to the NASA website and learn about the missions of NASA. The third activity asks students to find and watch videos about life on the International Space Station, then share the information on a discussion board. Next, students begin to look outside our solar system with a visit to the Hubble Space Telescope website, followed by a discussion about stellar life cycles. The culminating activity asks students to create and illustrate poetry.
