Students learn about the planets of our solar system, moons and sun including physical characteristics, surface features, distance from Earth, atmospheric conditions etc... Afterwards, they are to create a 3-dimensional model of an E.T. that could potentially live on that planet, moon or star and present their finding to the class. Students will have an opportunity to give feedback to each student presentation. This is definitely a worthwhile project since students can use their creativity and are fully engaged in this project while being able to teach others about their chosen planet, moon or star.
This lesson comes with student handouts, worksheets and rubrics for both the 3D model and presentation.
