I like to use starter questions to begin class. The students research and record their answers in their notebook, and I ask for volunteers to share their findings. I like to mostly use questions that make them think, rather than recall information from the notes. Many of the questions may require them to do some research using a device.
In this product are 23 starter questions, one per slide, with an accompanying answer slide. You may choose to show the answer slide, or keep it to yourself.
Questions cover things like HR diagram, inner vs. outer planets, solar system formation, Big Bang Theory vs Steady State, types of galaxies, redshift, wobble method, telescopes, Pluto, comets, and many others.
These can also be great for Exit Tickets.
