With this resource, teachers/students will follow the three part lesson plan:
1. MINDS ON (INQUIRY): Be inspired by provocations (e.g., pictures, websites and videos) that lead them to ask questions about various aspects about space, then develop questions to be used for inquiry
2. ACTION:
RESEARCH - Students will then begin to find out information about the topic they have chosen.
DIG DEEPER - Through this research, they will dig deeper by critically thinking about how space travel affects the astronauts, the environment or society.
SOLVE A PROBLEM - They then use the design process to create product(s) that could create a solution to the problem (technological problem solving). Students then use materials around the classroom and brought from home, in order to create a prototype of their new product (makerspace).
3. CONSOLIDATION: Students will share their findings with the class and ask questions to each other about the product and process.
