Nothing is as vast as space! The imagination can be turned loose to dream about what is out there! While at the same time, there is so much that is known about space. With all that it offers, space should be used in a fun and comprehensive learning unit. A space unit can be used to introduce and reinforce several important concepts in Early Childhood Education; including language, cognitive, social, and motor skills. This unit includes a letter for parents, a directory of space terms, 9 detailed classroom activities (including pintables and photographs), and 3 ideas for additional activities. Also, included is a list of goals after each activity, which align with the drafted Common Core Standards for preschool. This unit is appropriate for preschool and day care classes.
