Sorts are the perfect way for my students to practice what they know! Make sure that your students are able to tell the difference between some of the key terms and vocabulary involved in this important topic. This would be a perfect assessment or interactive notebook activity after teaching space. Students are asked to cut out each sentence and decide whether it fits with the category of gas giant, inner planet, outer planet, sun, moon, magnify, telescope, solar system, orbit, or space. They then glue under the correct heading on the included sheet OR paste into a science interactive journal. An answer key is included for easy grading.
