This partner game focuses on the fourth grade common core standard L4.1f
(recognizing and correcting fragments and run-on sentences). The game comes with 4 tic-tac-toe boards, 32 question cards and an answer key.
Even though it is based on the fourth grade common core standard L4.1f, it is suitable for grades 2-5 due to the nature of the skill.
Students will draw a card. If they can identify whether the sentence is a fragment, run-on or complete sentence then they may mark the tic-tac-toe board. If they get it wrong, they may not mark the board and it is the next partner’s turn. Each student will need to check their partner’s answer on the answer card.
