Product Description
Overview:
This lesson is meant to teach students about correct spacing within their writing! I tell students that when we write we use little spaces, like spaghetti noodles, between letters and bigger spaces, like meatballs, between words. It’s a great visual for your little ones that leave too large or small spaces in their writing! I’ve included an anchor chart that you can use during instruction. There are three different writing pages that can be used during whole group writing lessons or included in your writing center.

♥♥♥Check out the preview to see what's included!♥♥♥

What's included?:
♥ An overview, example photos, and instructions
♥ Pages needed to print and create your own anchor chart (see example in photos)
♥ Three different writing pages
♥ Meatballs that students can cut and add to their writing for spaces.

To Use:
Print and copy the writing pages. I’ve included 3 different options for writing. In the first, students will glue in meatballs, found on page 6, between their words. When they finish, they can draw in their noodles between letters with a yellow marker. In the second example, students can draw in their spaghetti and meatballs. In the final example, it just reminds students to use the spaghetti and meatball spaces!
For the anchor chart, print the pages you want to use. You will need to decide whether you want to add in the “noodles” for the examples (page 19) or just print them as is (page 16). Cut out the boxes and arrange them as you like. There is an example included.
