Get students practising all 70 of the Spalding phonograms with these essential trace and write worksheets. Students will trace and write words that contain the different phonograms making their specific sounds. Whilst working with each phonogram, students will also be practising their spelling and handwriting.
When completing the worksheet, the child will:
• Practice saying the phonogram and identify how many and what sounds it makes by looking at the example words.
• Trace and write multiple example words containing the phonogram. These words are grouped according to the sound the phonogram makes in them.
These worksheets are great for any time of the year and can be used with children from all ability levels. The child can start from the single letter phonograms and work their way up to more difficult phonograms or you can simply give them worksheets with phonograms they need more practice with.
Daily practice of these phonograms will enable children to build on their reading and spelling skills by identifying phonograms in words and understanding the sounds they make.
