This project can be used at the end of the first Spanish I unit. It allows students to practice writing the date, the weather, the days of the week, and also basic -ar conjugations. Students select a country to travel to, and then create a calendar in Spanish that shows the weather, their destinations, and what they will eat.
I usually have students complete research, fill out a draft calendar and get it checked, and then have students create their final product over three class days.
The product includes the description, rubric, and a student example.
It's a great way for students to get excited about visiting the Spanish-speaking world!
