Unidad 2 Etapa 3 TIC TAC TOE Board

This Tic-Tac-Toe board is differentiated by learning styles and enables students to choose 3 activities in a row that best suit their needs and preferences. The 9 activities range from creating a quiz using the verbs within the Etapa, to creating a vocabulary crossword puzzle, having a dialogue to talk about after-school activities, and more. An example sentence for each activity is given.

The activities are strategically planned out so students have to complete a verb, vocabulary, and question activity no matter what.

The neat thing about this Tic-Tac-Toe board is that you can use the well done student products after the Tic-Tac-Toe board is completed! The last time I did one of these, my students were psyched that I used their work in a packet for their classmates.

I personally have my students complete these digitally on Google Drive, but of course they can be completed in any format.

This Tic-Tac-Toe board aligns with the vocabulary and grammar in En Espanol 1 Unidad 2 Etapa 3 but can be applied to any Spanish 1 classroom!


Vocabulary included in first activity: classroom materials, class subjects, adverbs, hay/tener que, discussing schedules, talking about and telling time, interrogatives, requesting food, snacks, places

Vocabulary included in second activity: present tense of -ER and -IR verbs, after-school activity verbs, transition words, irregular verbs (conocer, hacer), and ir + a + infinitive
