This is a rather simple "bell ringer" or "entry ticket" activities that I use with my Spanish 1 students the day after we first explore the verb Gustar. I usually have students work on warm-up sheets individually first, do a check-in with partners or groups, and then a whole-class recap to ease us into a day of practice and activities.
In this warm-up sheet, students simply check boxes to indicate how much they like or dislike a list of basic thing and activities. After they complete this, I extend the activity by going over each item and asking various students for their responses. I may also ask extension questions related to their responses.
This product includes:
• A Microsoft Word document of the warm-up handout
• A PDF copy of this same handout in case of any wonky formatting issues
Grammatical structures and vocabulary involved:
• The verb gustar (including using gustar with both nouns and verbs)
• Vocabulary: loosely corresponds to the textbook Descubre 1, chapter 2 (basic activities and school vocabulary)
Happy teaching and learning!
