In this fun interview activity,
Spanish 1 students practice inviting people places
and responding to those invitations.
First, students will pick from the list of 3 invitations
(ex: Te gustaria venir...?) and 8 locations
to create 6 unique invitations
(ex: Quieres acompanarme a Puerto Rico para explorar El Yunque?).
Each student then receives a slip of paper that has a positive response
(ex: Claro que si!) and a negative response
(Gracias, pero no puedo). Students will then interview 6 different classmates
and vary their responses based on the invitation. The interviewee will write down the classmate's response.
In the end, students need to tally how many positive responses they received and how many negative responses they received and complete the sentence, "La mayoria de las respuestas son positivas/negativas."
There are 9 different combinations of positive & negative responses
that can of course be printed multiple times to suit the needs of your classroom.
This is a great activity to get students moving around the room, speaking Spanish, extending invitations, and correctly responding!
