For: Practice with Family Vocabulary in Spanish
Students are given the family tree and the clues. Based on the clues and the way family trees are set up (you may need to discuss this with your students beforehand), each person's description puts them in only one location on the family tree. All circles represent marriage into the family and boxes represent blood relatives. There are directions on the page, but you may have to explain what the students are to do. I usually go over the first clue with them so they understand some basic logic techniques and what is expected of them.
For a more challenging puzzle (or to differentiate levels in your classroom) check out Spanish 1: La Familia Misteriosa (Level 2) Worksheet and Spanish 1: La Familia Misteriosa (Level 3) Worksheet.
