This is a whole class game to practice the Spanish greetings. This can be used as a warm up or end of class activity. Students love playing this game and almost always ask to play it again!
You will need a PowerPoint and projector to play.
Students should stand so that they are in a circle or line and are facing the screen.
Begin with one student and have them pronounce the word in Spanish that is displayed. If they get the letter correct they can keep standing, if it is incorrect they must sit down.
When a BRILLO slide appears, the student who’s turn it is and the student to their right will compete to say BRILLO first. The first to say BRILLO will stay standing.
The winner is the last student standing. You may play double elimination to make the game last longer. Sometimes I award candy to the winner or extra speaking points depending on what is appropriate.
