The zipped file you download includes an MP3 file for playing in class, a lyrics page to be copied and distributed, and some tips for how I used this tune in my classroom.
This rocking little song gets students practicing what they'll have to do in almost every interaction they will have with a new conocido españolparlante: Ask for names, say how you're doing, nice to meet you, and say goodbye, and in a variety of ways.
The scenario of the song is a conversation between two strangers at a bus stop, so you can use TPRS, class pairings, and class groupings (into 2) very easily. My students would often walk out of the room singing parts of it or surprise me in the hall with a vivid rendition of it. It's a fun way to get them talking and less nervous. Additionally, the song previews grammar that they'll use later in the year and is thus highly recyclable throughout the year. Thanks for reading! Go listen to the preview!!
