This project will help students review sports vocabulary while also learning how to create a short film. I use this project to assess pronunciation, to review vocabulary, and to give students the opportunity to work in groups. I give this assignment once we are 3/4 into the chapter on sports so that students get extra review before the test- they review as they create the video and as they watch the other group's videos. I allowed for 2 block periods (or approximately 3 hours of class time) for this project- anything not completed in that time became homework. Filming took one block period (about one and a half hours).
