I have taken the "Guess Who I Am" game, where you ask questions about the appearance of your partner's character (¿Es niño? ¿Lleva lentes? ¿Tiene ojos cafes?, etc.) and made it into an interactive game for partners in the computer lab. As long as your students have PowerPoint, they can play this game, so iPads, Android tablets, and laptops can all participate equally.
If Student A asks if Student B's selection has a green shirt (in Spanish, of course), and the answer is no, then Student A can *click* on all of the faces on her screen that are wearing green shirts and they will *disappear.* As soon as only one face is remaining, and the option is confirmed with Student B, then Student A wins that round. And the game starts over.
The verbs under heavy use in this activity are "Es...," "Está...," "Tiene...," and "Lleva...," which will correspond to most curriculum. The emphasis in this game is not on clothing or anything below the neck, but just what can be seen in a "head shot," like eye color, skin color, mood/emotion, and hair.
The games are scaffolded so that a easy solo interactive game starts everyone off using the interface (see preview file), and then the warm ups get a bit tougher, culminating in a competitive, 12-face game that will interest many of your students and get them talking in Spanish, laughing, and in some cases, shouting! There are student instructions, an answer "key" to help solve disputes, and other teacher notes. Thanks for reading!
1 license = up to 14 seats ($10)
2 licenses = 15 to 28 seats ($10 + 5 = $15 total)
3 licenses = 29 seats and up ($10 + 5 + 5) including unlimited seats inside your site. This includes multiple faculty as long as they are in the same school!
What's a "seat?" --It represents one student user, in one class period
Are you asking me to buy seats for every period I teach? --No, I only ask that you buy for the largest class you teach, and then the smaller classes will be included as "fewer seats."
It looks like if I purchase 3 licenses that I can share this file with colleagues in my school. Is that true? --Yes, that is the case! Just don't forget to share password of "Picante" with them!
