These activities coincide with chapter 5.2 of the Spanish 2 Avancemos textbook and include works like "the roasted chicken, the house specialty, fried, mixed, ground, raw etc. I use these worksheets as supplementary activities to the book, workbook and worksheet resources to make sure my students have adequate practice to learn the vocabulary words and be able to use them within a context.

Part H- Complete the individual sentences with the best Spanish vocabulary word. English word bank provided
Part I- Vocab crossword using all the vocabulary from the chapter within a sentence.
I use crosswords in my class to provide students with practice within a context. Students have to write the words twice, in the clues and in the puzzle. By writing in the puzzle, they are able to check and make sure they are spelling the words correctly. By writing on the clue sheet they are getting twice the spelling practice and it makes it easier to check the answers. When we go over the answers, I have students translate the sentences out loud for a comprehension check. Completing the crossword and reviewing the answers usually takes 30-45 minutes.
