This is an interpersonal simulated conversation for students in early Spanish 2. This assessment was created to accompany Realidades Chapter 1A, but could be used with any book or unit where students have learned to speak about their classes, classroom activities, & classroom rules.
When doing this speaking activity, students hear a recorded voice, and have about 20 seconds to respond to a recorded question. After the time has passed, students will hear the recorded voice ask another question. There are a total of 7 questions or statements made by the recorded voice, with student response time after each one. The result is a recording that simulates an actual conversation with a Spanish speaker.
What's great about this assessment is that it lets students as early as Spanish 2 practice speaking -- and in the same format that is used on the AP Spanish exam!
Included in this purchase, you'll receive:
--PRACTICE activity to get students used to the format.
--Practice audio track
--Practice conversation outline with prompts

--Instructions for assessing students
To use this activity as an actual assessment for students, you will need some way to play the audio tracks so that they are audible throughout the classroom or lab, as well as some way to record student responses. I use headphones with microphones, but you could use cassette recorders, MP3 recorders, flip cameras, or even Google Voice.
Feel free to contact me for additional suggestions on how to make this activity work in your classroom. This is one that I LOVE, and do every year!
