This is a great activity for Spanish 2+ students when practicing forming the following 7 verb tenses: imperfect, preterite, present, present progressive, simple future (ir + a + infinitive), tu commands and usted commands.
Students must use critical-thinking skills
to first figure out which verb tense goes with which header. For example, the imperfect column is called "Cuando era nino," and the present tense column is called "ahora."
Next, students need to recognize the verb form (yo, tu, ella, etc.) of the given verbs in each row.
For example, the first row may include the verb form "habla" in the "ahora" column, so students must fill in the remaining boxes horizontally with the el/ella/usted forms (hablaba, hablo, esta hablando...etc).
There are 8 verbs included
in each grid and three grids are included for a total of 24 verbs.
The most common Spanish verbs are included (hacer, ir, ser, etc.)
Answer keys are included.
