As part of my Identity Unit for my Spanish 4 class, we watch this awarding-winning short film on Identity.
It gives a spell-bounding depiction of the complexities of identity in high school. Although the film is in English, it has very limited spoken text, most of it centers on the read- between- the- lines storyline. After watching the video students had to process the film objectively first and then subjectively.
This website was a great help in terms of how to look critically at visual content.
This resource contains:
1. Frontloading questions about the video's content. I have linked my Writing prompts to this document. I project the slide " Cuál es la relación entre las imágenes." This spawns a discussion.
2. Post viewing questions about the video.
3. There are several activities linked-in to this document that could be used as a stand alone 30 minute activity to a week's worth of unit building.
