This unit includes TWO school weeks of 55-minute day-by-day lesson plans!
This unit presents the imperfect subjunctive so students can explain what they wanted to happen or requested that someone do. It also reviews how to conjugate WORDE verbs in the past (whether preterit or imperfect). Also presented is how to talk about hypothetical situations using "if"- (i.e. If I were in college I would... and if I had known I would have done...
Student notes and guided notes on forming the imperfect subjunctive, conditional clauses using imperfect subjunctive and conditional, and conditional clauses using the pluperfect of the imperfect subjunctive and the pluperfect conditional.
Student notes and guided notes on trip-taking vocabulary. Although I usually don't have time to include this component, it lends itself to planning a dream vacation- If I had the money, I would go on a cruise.
A review of the conditional tense is included
A review grid with answer key is included on how to conjugate WORDE verbs in the past (I wanted, I hoped, I doubted, I felt sad, etc).
There are multiple practices that reinforce conjugating WORDE verbs into the past tenses as well as extending the sentences by adding subordinate clauses using the imperfect subjunctive.
There are practices that review both types of conditional clauses with "if"
There is a quiz on the imperfect subjunctive with listening script and a quiz on the conditional clause with imperfect subjunctive and conditional (If I were 18, I would buy a car).
