This is a partner game that requires this handout and a die for each partner group.
There are six verbs on the paper with 9 different subjects listed underneath each one. You start by choosing the designated die number, 6, for example. Then, start the game by having the students roll the die to see who gets the highest number to start. On your count, that student begins conjugating verbs as quickly as possible. While that is happening, the other student continually rolls the die to try and get the "designated" number. Once they do, they get to steal the paper from their partner and begin conjugating. They are competing to see who can conjugate the most verbs in the time allotted.
Another version of this game that I play is with a big timer on the board set on :15 seconds. Instead of having the partners compete AGAINST each other, they compete together against the class to get the most right as a team. Every 15 seconds they switch the paper and can correct each other's work and help each other. Then I have them trade and grade them with another group for even more practice.
The kids love this activity and it gets them more excited about conjugating verbs!
