Almost no prep! If you are looking for a review game that keeps the whole class engaged and is more collaborative than competitive, then this is for you. Students work in teams of 3-4 in the style of swimming medley relays. One answers the "backstroke" question and another the "breaststroke" question. One gets the super hard "butterfly" question and one gets the quick and easy "free style question." They get points for speed and points for accuracy as they race to the end of the "pool."
This product includes a full game slideshow, playing cards, and instructions for the teacher on how to lead the game and adapt it for the needs of your class. This game was built in a wide-screen Powerpoint template, which makes for cool swimming lane lines. Just in case that makes the formatting wonky on your computer, I've also included a PDF version of the game slideshow so you can maintain the fonts and formatting. :)
This activity reviews the Spanish alphabet. Please note - in my alphabet products, I still include the letters LL, CH, and RR to make sure that students recognize references to those letters, even as they are phased out. My Spanish Alphabet Notes go into more detail about letters being dropped and changing their names (Y, W), and we openly talk about the changing nature of the alphabet... and the human tendency to refer to the alphabet the way we first learned it as children even if we know there has been an official change.
