One of the first lessons in Spanish I, and a great review activity for the first days of Spanish II, is the Spanish Alphabet and Pronunciation. I created this Powerpoint of word lists to facilitate pronunciation practice.
In this download you get a cover slide with original cover art that can be printed and displayed as a classroom poster. You also get a Powerpoint presentation with 30 slides containing thematic words lists for spelling and pronunciation practice.
Each list contains 10 words that are organized with differentiation in mind. The slides include select words for the following themes:
1. High-frequency words
2. Subject pronouns
3. Countries and Nationalities
4. Numbers 1-100
5. Days & Months
6. School subjects
7. Classroom materials
8. Places in the community
9. Famous Hispanics
10. Members of the family
13. Foods and drinks
19. Words ending with the suffixes -ción and -dor(a)
20. Body parts
This is a simple tool that can be used as:
1. Spelling or pronunciation pre-assessment
2. Spelling or pronunciation practice activity
3. Warm-up / Bell ringer
This Powerpoint will be a valuable resource in your Spanish I-II classes. It was not difficult to create but it did take a lot of time. I think that you will find that this product is a qualitative activity and a great value.
