Include Hispanic art and culture with your grammar and vocabulary practice! Students interpret 9 sentences about a family portrait done by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. If a sentence is false, students must correct the incorrect words. Students then translate all 9 sentences and are also instructed to write a Spanish family word on each line pointing to family members in the painting. Verbs used include llevar, gustar, estar, hay, incluir, acabar, cenar, and ser, and vocabulary used includes family, clothing and toy vocabulary. The download includes a full size portrait that can be projected in class.
This is a great activity to use during Hispanic Heritage Month!
The answer key is included.
