This set of five worksheets has a grand total of 30 Spanish words containing the syllable structure of CVCVCV (three syllables). Each worksheet has six target words with pictures that can be cut into puzzle shapes for articulation practice.
1. bilabial (e.g. m, p, b) initial words
2. velar (e.g. k, g) initial words
3. alveolar (e.g. t, d, n) initial words
4. palatal (e.g. ch, y) initial words
5. /s/ initial words
This set of target words can be used with students who struggle with phonological processing, articulation, or apraxia. These carefully selected words are helpful for teaching young children to say three-syllable words and reducing the occurrence of phonological processes: consonant assimilation, weak syllable deletion, initial consonant deletion, stopping of fricative /s/, velar fronting. Use them for "cycles approach" practice, coloring, single word drilling, making short phrases, and for homework that parents can do at home with your students.
