Here are three pages you can use before your winter break from school. Included are "Que hay en tu calcetin?", "Donde viajo' Rudolph?", and "Que regalo' Papa Noel?"
The "calcetin" and "Papa Noel" sheets give students some creative license to think about what they want (in Spanish) for Christmas, and what others in their family might be getting... These two activities make their thinking/writing very personal to them and relevant! These can be used for basic writing/vocabulary practice and also for asking peers, "Que hay en tu calcetin?", to open some doors to communication.
The "Rudolph" activity sheet could be used to review Spanish countries and capitals, and to say where Rudolph went and what he did at each stop. Have students draw arrows to the places on the maps where he "visited." Lots of room for creative writing here...!
