This is a fun cultural activity for the Spanish classroom or even an elementary classroom! This 4 page packet will teach your students briefly about the importance of and history of chocolate in Mexico. The two page article with pictures is followed by comprehension questions (which can be used for a grade or class discussion). This fun activity also includes The Chocolate Song in Spanish on the last page to be copied and given out to your students. Your students will have a blast singing the Mexican chocolate song with you! Sometimes with this activity, I have allowed students to bring in chocolate candy or pastries to share with the class. This activity is a great way to blend culture with fun! Enjoy!
Don't forget to teach your students about El Chupacabra!
