Spanish Commands "Citas Cortas" Speaking Activity
Need a way to get your students SPEAKING more, and COMPLETELY in the target language!? Give this activity a try, and you and your students will all be hooked! This activity takes a classroom spin on "speed-dating." Students sit with a partner for just 1 minute to answer as many questions as they can aloud in the target language. On the teach cue, students switch partners and start again. No writing needed... everything is done aloud!
The optional questions checklist and student self-assessment can be used for differentiation and can also help the teacher with formative assessment of student skills!
This set can be used to review formal or informal commands.
Examples of prompts included:
¿Qué dirías a una persona que......?
- ¿tiene mucha hambre?
- ¿quiere hacer nuevos amigos?
- ¿tiene un examen mañana?
- ¿no quiere trabajar?
- ¿quiere divertirse?
