This project is designed for upper-level Spanish students that are learning cooking and food vocabulary, and combines it with the use of commands. It is aimed to give students an introduction to the food and culture of Spain and the Mediterranean. Students are required to choose a recipe from Spain, and describe its history, use and origins (if they lie outside of Spain, i.e., rice) and present it to the class in Spanish. They are also required to detail how the recipe is made by using commands and present the recipe to the class as well. Furthermore, students are required to make a sampling of the recipe and bring it in to share with the class. Packet includes: project and rubric/grading.
