This intercultural lesson is perfect for a unit about home life. Students will describe their own bedroom, look at images and descriptions of children's bedrooms around the world, and then compare their bedroom to one of those.
Part 1: Brainstorm about bedrooms.
Part 2: Students describe their own bedroom.
Part 3: Students read a short description of a bedroom around the world and present orally to the class describing it.
Part 4: Students compare their own bedroom to one of the ones from Step 2.
Part 5: Students write a penpal letter describing their bedroom.
