Scavenger Hunts are a great game for students to practice vocabulary, and they can work at their own pace! The teacher posts half-sheets with vocabulary on them around the room and students start at any half-sheet near them, see the clipart picture, write the vocabulary word on their paper, find the vocabulary word around the room, walk over to it, see the next clipart, and repeat. Students get to get up out of their seats, rather than simply match vocabulary pictures and words on a worksheet. Some students will race each other to see who can finish first and others will take their leisurely time. The last verb students get to will lead loop them back to their first verb, so students can start anywhere in the loop of verbs.
Two versions are included - one with pictures as clues (good for lower level classes), the other with a description of the vocabulary word in Spanish (good for upper level classes).
el pan de muerto
el papel picado
