Do you still find yourself singing the alphabet song when looking something up in a dictionary? What about using a song or rhyme to remember which months have 30 or 31 days? We all have learned this way! And what’s more... we still remember it as adults! That’s because it works! Now you can teach Spanish this way too! This song is a quick and easy way to teach the basic expressions taught in Spanish 1 such as please, thanks, you're welcome, I'm sorry, and more! The song is sung to the tune of 'Pop Goes the Weasel' and both the Spanish lyrics and the lyrics to 'Pop Goes the Weasel' are lined up so that you can follow along with the beat as it is learned. Also included is the 'clean' copy of just the Expression Song, so that once it has been learned, the students can focus only on the Spanish. Includes 9 pages total! Here's everything that is included:
2 pages of the song (Spanish/English) with pictures
2 pages of the song (English) with pictures REPLACING the Spanish words
2 pages of the song (Spanish/English) AND the lyrics to 'Pop Goes the Weasel'
1 page with both verses in a student copy
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures and words (perfect as a study guide)
1 page of all of the song vocabulary with pictures without the words (perfect as a quiz)
I used this song for years with my high school students and it was ALWAYS one of their favorites!!! YB Smith
