Spanish Family "No lo digas" Game & Vocab List for La Familia
To get this "No lo digas" game plus a detailed lesson plan covering 2 hours of class time check out Family Vocabulary Lesson for Upper Level/AP Spanish
This vocabulary list and game are intended for upper level Spanish
students. Students should already be comfortable with basic family members (madre, padre, abuelo, abuela, tío, tía, etc.). The list of words includes extended family members such as bisabuelo(a), nieto(a), suegro(a), primo(a), yerno, nuera, and other words related to family such as: noviazgo, matrimonio, pareja, divorciarse, casarse, mimar, disciplinar, etc. Click here
to view the complete vocabulary list.
The vocabulary is aligned with Chapter 4
of the Pasajes
textbook for Spanish, but can be used in any upper level/AP Spanish
class working on a Family & Community
There are two versions of the vocabulary list
. One has just the words in Spanish and students are to fill in the English translations, and the other is the same list with both the Spanish and English translations provided.
The No lo digas vocabulary game
includes cards for 32 of the 45 vocabulary words. You will need to print and cut out the cards. I print on card stock and laminate the cards to prolong their life, and have the students do the cutting.
In the "No lo digas game," one student describes a vocabulary word but may not use related "No lo digas" words listed on the vocabulary card, while team mates attempt to guess the word.
My students love to play this game and yours will, too!
