Each booklet contains 12 pages: the title page with 11 additional pages containing common Spanish family words. Words included are mamá, papá, abuelo/a, primo/a, tío/a, hermano/a, and perro. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page.
Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations of family members. "Quiero a mi" is repeated 12 times so students learn the phrase quickly and easily. They then create their own version using the text only template. They'll enjoy sharing their creations with the family members featured in their booklets. These booklets work great as a Valentine's Day activity!
The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the family vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text. Both versions can be used for interactive notebook activities.
