This resource includes a 2 page editable word document to play bingo with family and descriptions Spanish vocabulary (1 side bingo board / 1 side information to fill out the board). Students pick phrases from each category to fill out their board. The directions vary from having students draw pictures of family/descriptions to copying down the information to be read in English or paraphrased in Spanish by the teacher while playing.
To use in class, hand out the sheet and have students create their bingo boards according to the directions on the back of the sheet. Instead of using bingo covers, I use different color markers for each game, and students put a dot in the corner of each square that is called. We change colors for every game. You can call the pictures in Spanish or describe them in Spanish and say the phrases in English or describe them in Spanish. The winner is the first student to get bingo (line of 5 - vertical, horizontal, diagonal or four corners) and yell ¡Olé!
