Description

Fire Safety Week (aka Fire Prevention Week) is in the beginning of October; a very important week for early elementary students! This packet is designed to supplement your Fire Safety guest speakers, field trips, and readings, and was created specifically for Spanish Dual Language/Immersion programs -- no English on student pages!

This 20 page packet includes:

Word wall cards x 16

“In the fire station, I see…” writing & drawing sheet

Firefighter-themed, open-ended writing paper, with 2 line options

Word search, with answer key

Bubble maps x 3: fire, firefighters, Dalmatian

Can/have/are writing sheets x 2: firefighters, fire truck

Sorting by categories worksheet: objects related to firefighting vs. objects not related to firefighting

Sorting by properties cut-&-paste worksheet: hot vs. cold

Parts of a fire truck poster to display via overhead projection

Parts of a fire truck fill-in-the-blank worksheet

Functions of the parts of a fire truck lift-the-flap worksheet:

Students trace the label-words, then cut apart the labels.

Students glue labels onto the firetruck page, in a lift-the-flap format. After writing and gluing, students can lift flaps to read about the function of each part of the truck.

“I know what to do in case of a fire.” reminder bookmarks to color

I hope your students enjoy the week, and learn how to be safe in a fire!

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and REWARDED! Thank you for leaving a comment.
