Need a way to get your students to PRACTICE, while having FUN? Are they tired of worksheets?
This game board provides 23 opportunities for students to compete for the most spaces in the honeycomb. Students sit with a partner or small group and choose a card from the 36 card deck. Each card either provides the number for a space on the board, which has a subject and a verb to conjugate on the line provided. Alternatively, the card may have a special direction such as "take two turns," "steal 1 space," "free honey," or "Sorry! No honey for you."
If the student wins a space by conjugating the verb correctly, they write their name in the honeycomb space. The student that has the most spaces at the end of the game, wins! I typically award 1 bonus point on a quiz for each game win. This doesn't make a big difference, but to the students it does!! :)

There are four answer keys provided (depending on whether you are asking your students to complete the future or conditional tense, regular game board or regular and irregular verb game board) so that students can monitor their answers as they go. I scrambled the numbered spaces on the board to try to avoid any cheating temptation. A quick glance at the answer key is all they need, and their partners can make sure their eyes don't linger! If you're worried, you can hold the answer key and circulate around the room.
