Your students will have fun using Spanish dialog as they try to get sets of four food cards in as many of the eight food categories as possible. Players “listen up” to what other players are asking for because it gives clues as to what food categories they hold in their hands. “Busco frutas. ¿Tienes las naranjas, Marcos?” Sí. Tengo las naranjas. Aquí tienes.” or “No, no tengo las naranjas.” For more advanced students, use direct objects in responses. “Sí, las tengo." or "No, no las tengo.”
Play the game one day asking question using the informal “tú” form. Play it again the next day, using the formal “usted” form.
Simply make copies on card stock or print them out on regular paper and cut them out and tape to index cards. (3 to 5 players per game)
