"Pirata" is a game designed to help students practise the concept of definite/indefinite, singular/plural articles.
This version has been designed using feminine nouns and articles, but this could easily be edited to masculine nouns and articles if you prefer.
Alternatively, you can purchase a masculine version of "pirata" from my products.
The nouns could also be edited to target unit-specific vocabulary.
I play the game by giving each student a grid. They are then put in pairs, but do not look at each other's grids. Each student then draws in 5 pirates anywhere in the grid. The students then take turns at asking questions in Spanish, using definite and indefinite articles.
E.g. "¿Tienes la mesa?"
"Si, tengo la mesa." or "No, no tengo la mesa."
"¿Tienes una silla?" etc…
You can easily modify the nouns used in the grid if you wish, provided that they all make sense. Enjoy the game!
