This is a great writing prompt
that my Spanish students really enjoy. Students find a magic genie in a lamp and are asked to describe it. They then need to use various "key phrases" of the subjunctive while asking the genie for various things. In the conclusion, students need to advise the reader on what to do if he/she finds a genie of their own.
The grammatical focus of this prompt is subjunctive and also preterite versus imperfect.
A suggested rubric is included.
This activity is ideal for a Spanish 2-4 class.
