Looking for a fun and educational Halloween activity? This is a Halloween-themed dialogue for groups of 2-3 students. Groups of two students will portray a child and an adult. Groups of three will have a child, an adult, and a narrator.
The vocabulary is appropriate for Spanish II-III or an advanced group of Spanish I. If you wish you could use this as an introduction or reinforcement to the uses of ser and estar.
The object is for each group of students to read the dialogue in front of the class. There is a section that requires students to be creative and create their own part of the dialogue. This ensures that each group has something unique to contribute and keeps the students in the audience interested in what's going to happen, too.
I have a tote of interesting clothing items and require students to wear at least one item when taking part in this dialogue. This creates such a festive atmosphere. Even the serious students don't mind wearing a scarf or a tie.
This is a great pronunciation exercise and will take about one class period to complete depending on the size of your class.
A Word document ensures that you can make the changes needed to suit your students.
Enjoy! Your students will love this.
