Description
Spanish 1 open-response writing prompt for hobbies, weather, and frequency words. Prompt in Spanish, differentiated version and simple grading rubric provided. Great for assessment in Spanish 1.
Skill assessed: Writing about hobbies in the present tense.
This open-response style writing prompt (PROMPT IN SPANISH) provides students with the opportunity to exhibit their writing skills in Spanish. They are expected to write creatively and in complete sentences to describe their preferred hobbies/activities during good and bad weather.
In this prompt they are called to:
* use common weather terms
* conjugate common Spanish verbs in the present tense
* use "con" to mention company: i.e. con mis amigos
* explain preferences
* use common frequency words like siempre and nunca
This prompt includes a checklist for students as well as a simple grading rubric for use by the teacher.
There is now a differentiated version included as well, which has sentence starters for students who may be at a lower proficiency level. You can easily distribute these writing prompts within an integrated class without students noticing the difference :)
