*Newly Updated* Your second-year Spanish students will love these helpful handouts with verbs, adjectives, and feelings learned during Spanish I. With your purchase, you will receive a two page print out (you can print it front and back to save paper) with a list of verbs that are commonly learned during the first year of Spanish, a one page print out of adjectives that are usually learned during the first year, and a one page print out of feelings expressions with “estar” and “tener.” As a bonus, I am also including a sheet that students can fill in with you to help them review the present tense (subject pronouns, regular verbs, irregular verbs, stem-changing verbs, and verbs like “gustar.”)
As you can see in the preview pictures, each handout will be provided for you with the words in Spanish only with space for students to write in the English words and with the words in Spanish and English. This will allow you to simply give the sheets to students as a reference or ask them to fill in what they remember from Spanish I. I also like to use these sheets as a way to give my students comprehensible input in the target language. As I describe each word to them in Spanish using familiar words, gestures, etc., the students fill in on their sheet what they believe the English translation is. At the end, we check the words together to see what they remembered and understood.
I usually print these sheets on colored paper for students so that they are easy to see and find in their notebook throughout the year.
I currently teach with the Avancemos textbook, so most of the words correspond with the vocabulary from that book (Level 1 Chapters 1.1 – 6.1). I am providing these files for you in both PDF (ready-to-print) and Word (EDITABLE) format so that you can add, take away, or change words as needed. Enjoy!
