I use this activity with my Spanish II students to help them distinguish the differences between ir and ser in the preterite form. This helps them see the differences based upon the context of the sentence.
This is a group activity which works best in groups of 3 or 4. In this activity I have students create sentences for ir using the cards and they must create a description of the event using ser. This activity worked well for my students and took them about 15-20 minutes to create 10 sentences for ir and ser each (20 in total).
