It is never too late in the year to start having some fun with idioms. Here are 40 posters - more than a year's worth, so you can pick and choose.

Each poster features a high quality photograph, an idiomatic expression in Spanish and its translation into English.

The resource also includes a worksheet for each poster with a definition of the idiom and example sentences, a checklist with all 40 idioms for the teacher, and a final worksheet that allows students to categorize the idioms.

All idiomatic expressions are commonly used in Spain.

Many resources that I found on Spanish idioms list only proverbs. The idioms that I included in this resource are common phrases rather than proverbs.

Target Groups: Intermediate and advanced learners of Spanish (B1 and up)

Learning Objective: Understanding commonly used idiomatic expressions
