This reading comprehension activity includes vocabulary from chapter 4-A of the Realidades Level 2 series (childhood activities and imperfect). This short story talks about the childhood and life of Albert Pujols.
Students will read the story, write down all of the imperfect verbs, answer the questions and at the end make a comic with captions depicting what happened in the story. The other alternative to the comic is to have students image that they are a famous person and make a comic depicting their lives in the imperfecto.
You can also have students highlight the imperfect verbs as a pre-reading activity.
This file includes the worksheet (print two-sided- one for each student) and an answer key for the questions.
This activity will take students about 20-30 minutes to complete (including the comic strip). It is a great review of the imperfecto as it has regular and irregular verbs (ir and ser) in the story.
