This lesson centers on a report on César Chávez on Primer Impacto in 2014 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlGSIiVUqlc - or search César Chávez activista y visionario) that discusses his yoga practice and vegetarianism, among other things. With more than 20 instances of the imperfect (talking about what Chávez would always do or used to do), it also serves as a nice grammar review for students! For the lesson students will first answer 10 personal questions (vocabulary and themes from the video they are about to watch), then watch the video and answer, as best they can, 5 comprehension questions. They then watch the video a second time and complete a Clozeline with the 23 verbs in the imperfect, returning to answer any comprehension questions they missed. Finally, they end the lesson with 8 personal questions using the imperfect tense. An interesting lesson on Chávez for César Chávez Day March 31st, or on any day! Link to editable Google Doc included.
